Joining the Band

Our band consists of volunteer musicians with varying degrees of talent and skill who get together for the sheer enjoyment of playing music. Any high school graduate who can play a musical instrument is encouraged to participate. Usually there are no restrictions, however, if there is an overflow or excess number of players in a particular section which results in an imbalance, the prospective new member may be put on a waiting list.

Rehearsals are normally scheduled for the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Mason Middle School band room. If conditions dictate, a revised rehearsal schedule may be instituted and additional rehearsals may be scheduled depending on concert dates or conflicts with school activities.

Dues are not required - however, a donation of $30.00 each year, per member or family, is requested. This helps us purchase new music and helps cover a portion of operating and other expenses during the year. Additional donations/contributions come from friends and guests attending our concerts and from corporate sponsors.
