Jerry Robinson Clarinet
 |  click on image to enlarge | | | Jerry Robinson has been involved in Ohio music education for over 30 years; first teaching for two years at Cedarville High School, then eight years at Amelia High School, eight more years at Kings High School and retired after twelve years from the music faculty at Lebanon High School. Mr. Robinson's groups have received accolades at many festivals and contests throughout his career and have performed at many special events including the 1984 World's Fair held in New Orleans. He was also responsible for the Tri-State Jazz Festivals of the 1970's.
Mr. Robinson earned his bachelor of arts and education degrees from The Ohio State University, majoring in music education and music composition. He also holds a Master of Education degree from Wright State University. He is a member of MENC, OMEA, A.S.B.D.A., Phi Beta Mu and holds honorary membership in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Mr. Robinson has received the OMEA 25 Year Award, was inducted into the Lebanon City School Hall of Fame in 1994 and has served as a board member for the American Federation of Musicians local 321.
Mr. Robinson is currently active as a clinician, adjudicator, arranger, soloist and guest conductor. He maintains an
active performing schedule as the leader of the jazz sextet, "Finale" and saxophone quartet Sax-O-Peel. Recently Mr. Robinson has recorded a CD of standards with pianist Lowell (Woody) Woodrey and a CD of gospel swing as a
